DESCRIPTION: Same family since the 1850s! The property was originally purchased by one of the owners ancestors who were one of the original Alsatian settlers that traveled from DHanis to California for the gold rush then came back and purchased the subject property. According to the owner there are historic Comanche Indian campgrounds along the creek and a hilltop Indian lookout with a prominent site believed to be an Indian burial ground. Excellent deer habitat with very nutritious brush such as guajillo and guayacan and a fantastic dove/white wing corridor. Plenty of game with hogs and trophy Whitetail. The ranch has never been leased for hunting and very little hunting by the family. A very good creek drainage runs through this property and makes for excellent lake habitat. There is one small water tank located on the property which owner says holds water year round. Its stocked with bass and catfish and offers excellent dove hunting. There is excellent potential to build a large lake with an elevated building site overlooking the lake. There are scattered Live Oaks, large Mesquite trees, and some very large Elms along the creek bottom. Portions of the creek bottoms have forest like attributes with stretches of large thick hardwoods that make for excellent turkey roosts.
